What is a physicochemical treatment?
In chemical-physical treatment, liquid and water-containing wastes are treated using physical and chemical processes. Depending on the composition, treatment objective, and method, pollutants can be separated, recoverable components can be reclaimed, and the nature or quantity of the remaining residues can be altered.
Depending on the composition of the waste, various processes are used, such as neutralization, precipitation, filtration, sedimentation, or other appropriate treatment steps.
