works for ZIMMERMANN RCN Chemie in Goch:
My name is Philipp Kohl, and I have been part of the ZIMMERMANN Group since 2021. I joined ZIMMERMANN on the recommendation of a former classmate.
My professional career within the Group has taken me from plant manager to project manager to deputy plant manager and then to waste management officer. In my current role as Deputy Operations Manager, I am responsible for a variety of tasks in addition to personnel management. These include managing and optimizing processes, coordinating projects and ensuring efficient operations.
As the waste management officer, I am also responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legal regulations and environmental standards. I support the company management in matters relating to waste legislation, develop strategies for sustainable treatment and ensure that waste management concepts are implemented smoothly within the company.
What I particularly appreciate about the ZIMMERMANN Group is the family atmosphere. Here you are not just a personnel number, but part of a team. At the same time, the flat hierarchy requires a high degree of personal responsibility and flexibility, which is both challenging and rewarding.
Originally from the Ruhr area, I now live in the Lower Rhine region - but I still have strong ties to my homeland. My direct manner is part of my personality and is also reflected in my work. Although I originally no longer wanted to take on a management position, there are days when I particularly appreciate this responsibility - and of course also days when it is challenging.
One of the best aspects of my time at ZIMMERMANN is that I have not only grown professionally here, but have also found my greatest happiness in my private life: my wife and our daughter.
The waste management industry is a fascinating world - large and yet manageable, with many familiar faces and constant change. No two days are the same, and it is precisely this dynamic that makes my job so exciting.
